PORTLAND BEER WEEK

This is a fantastic way to kick off summer 2024. Portland beer week is a 10-day celebration of, you guessed it, beer. It includes a number of events including, a brewery tap-takeover, mini-fests dedicated to different styles of beer like Kölsch and rye beer, educational events, and some tournaments. It is more than just beer though. There will be plenty of food events as well including, unique food pairing experiences, chef driven collaborations, and interactive tastings. 10 days gives you plenty of opportunity to enjoy this Festival. PUNK IN DRUBLIC

Punk rock legends NOFX announced their last-ever tour recently and of course, Portland fans were ecstatic to see the band was bringing its beer-focused festival with them. What Portland punk rocker doesn't guzzle down beer at a NOFX or any punk show for that matter? It's all apart of the experience! This beer fest is a two day event on the waterfront and will include tastings from national, and potentially some local, breweries.

EDGEFIELD BREWFEST

The annual Edgefield Brewfest offers hundreds of beers and ciders, including non-McMenamins beverages. You'll get the opportunity to sip some delicious samples of booze while getting to stumbling around Edgefield’s beautiful gardens while listening to a full schedule of live music. You may want to book a room for the night for this event!

PORTLAND CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL

Portland's Craft Beer Festival first began in 2015 and features beers brewed within the city. It's a simple festivals, which is kind of nice. It features small pours from your favorite Portland breweries, your favorite food trucks will be there, and you'll have an opportunity to shop around an area dedicated to craft vendors. It takes place in Elizabeth Caruthers park where you get to stroll around basking in the sun, wind blowing in your hair and sipping on some delicious beer. Sounds perfect.

How cool is this. Brewers from Oregon and Japan get together to make collaborative beers featuring local ingredients from both countries. What?! This is an annual celebration of two cultures that share a serious love of beer. The celebration includes 20 brewers and cidermakers from Japan that join forces with 25 of Portland’s breweries to create beers that showcase Japanese staple ingredients like ube, yuzu, kihada leaves, seaweed, and Japanese pine. Sake and tea are will also be offered. Even better, Japanese food and entertainment will be offered. This is one your sure don't want to miss.

BREWS FOR NEW AVENUES AND OYSTERS & GUEUZE

If you are a beer nerd who is out there searching for rare beers, Brews for New Avenues is the holy grail event made just for you. The event brings together acclaimed Northwest and overseas breweries and unites beer fans and collectors of rare beers. This even is the largest rare beer auction in the world raising over $1.9 million since 2012 to end youth homelessness. The main event is an auction of some of the world’s best  hard-to-find beer. Be sure to go for opening night for the Oysters & Gueuze Social, where attendees pay a separate fee for a bacchanalian celebration of raw Northwest ocean delicacies that are paired with tart and funky Belgian beers.

VIKING BEER FEST

You might be wondering, what the heck is Viking Beer Fest? Well, Nordic beer is its own style that  features quick- fermenting and usually fruity kveik yeast brewed with Arctic Circle adjuncts and Old World techniques. Typically you'll find notes of lingonberry, caraway, and juniper and a style called a Beer Norwegian. which consists of honey-laced braggot. You will also find delicious mead, cider, and a full tap list of non-Viking booze for the non-adventurous drinkers—at the lush Nordic history destination Fogelbo House.

NORTHBANK BEER WEEK

Northbank Beer Week celebrates the tasty brews of Southwest Washington with a series of tap takeovers and parties. We have to admit, southwest Washington has come a looong way and they have some really good beer. They can't be left out! Thie Northbank Beer Week will showcase one-off beers brewed up in partnership with Portland and Northbank brewers and it will take place at the historic Pearson Air Museum.
